Corazoncitos

STUDENT ORGANIZATION AT BINGHAMTON UNIVERSITY

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH!

The fight for equality for the LGBTQ+ community continues, but not without celebrating the beautiful abundance of colors and true love that resides at the very heart of the community. A special thank you and celebration of the BIPOC members of the community. All lives don't matter until black lives and more specifically, black trans lives matter. Thank you so much for your strength and bravery, and we harbor nothing but fervent admiration and appreciation for everything you stand for.
Love is love, treat people with kindness!
We are wishing everyone a happy and safe pride!

ON BLACK LIVES MATTER

Corazoncitos stands in solidarity with those who are participating in the ongoing fight for racial justice and against police brutality. We stand as complete supporters of the black community as people of color and are as committed to their fight as they have historically been to ours. We ask that everyone join in and do their part by spreading awareness, educating yourselves and others, signing petitions, donating if you have the means, and supporting those risking their lives in protest.

Cuando los latinos no negros permanecen en silencio en los momentos de violencia per-petrados contra las comunidades negras, los latinos no negros se convierten en guerreros de la supremacĂa blanca y la anti-negritud global.

our mission

Corazoncitos advocates for socioeconomic issues pervading the lives of children in Latin America and the United States, in coordination with a collection of non-profit organizations specific to these communities. We seek to raise awareness of issues that affect Latin American children such as limited access to education, immigration, public health, and economic disparity.

OUR PURPOSE

1. To advocate for issues that affect Latin American children, both in Latin America and in the United States. These issues include, but are not limited to, global education, public health, and economic disparity.
2. To fundraise money to support a non-profit of our choice every year. Each non-profit will be chosen based on the issue that the Executive Board and active members are passionate about.
3. To help combat issues of poverty, and educational inequality in our local community through community service projects on the Binghamton University campus and in the surrounding area.
4. To introduce and allow people to explore and learn about different cultures and customs in Latin America.
